Our Equality Policy takes account of relevant legal standards. As a BAME operated charity with over 75% of our board members coming from an ethnic minority background, we understand the importance of diversity and inclusion. We aim to abide by and promote equality legislation by following both the letter and the spirit of it in this area. 

Ethics

The Vayyu Foundation reflects the high standard of business conduct representing what is the hallmark of our organization. Our Ethics Policy helps define our commitment to support a culture of openness, trust and integrity in all we do.

As a environmental based non-profit organization, public trust in the integrity and independence of the The Vayyu Foundation (TVF’s) scientific review and decision-making processes as well as TVF’s adherence to high standards for the conduct of its charitable activities is essential.

This privacy policy tells you how The Vayyu Foundation use's your personal data when you visit our website, interact with us, and buy our goods and services. It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.

Equipment Maintenance

The Vayyu Foundation acknowledges its responsibilities under The Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 and The Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998, in respect of its duties and obligations towards the health, safety and welfare of its staff and individuals we support.

Safeguarding

Whether we are cleaning plastic out of the rivers in Hertfordshire to the shores on India, our staff is always our first priority. We want to ensure that everyone who comes into contact with our organisation is safe. We call this area of our work ‘Safeguarding’.

The Vayyu Foundation Health and Safety Policy is written to ensure that our staff, apprentices, volunteers, consultants and trustees are aware of how we manage our health and safety across all Charity locations and activities and understand individual/organisational legal responsibilities.
